Cali baby!
Here's the story

I purchased an alu macbook on october 15th, 2008. All is well with the computer, i absolutely love it.

However, the charger has left much to be desired.

Let me start by saying i'm careful with my things, i don't throw them around, i don't bang them up, etc.

Within two months the charger started falling out of it's socket (the "charger part" falls off of the part plugged into the socket) like, it just slips out. i tried to not let it bother me, but now i can't even use the charger on a wall outlet anymore because of how quickly it falls out. i've even been shocked a few times trying to stick it back in!

I have no applecare. If i contacted Apple / took it to an Apple store, do you think they'd replace it / help me? I'm just finding it ridiculous that my macbook's charger has quickly fallen to pieces while an old, $400 Acer laptop's charger is still working perfectly! :(

You're still under the one year limited warranty. Take it to a store and make your case on the power adapter falling apart. At worst they'll charge you US$7.99 for the duckbill.
