Macbook charger fried!???

I've had my laptop for 2 years and no problems with the charger. But it hadn't been working well recently and now I just looked and the wires are exposed and the white wire is now blackish brown. What the hell happened?

How expensive are charges? Cause I'm really gonna need one...

What model of macbook? are we taking magsafe?

Best thing to do is just look it up on the apple store.
