So the plastic that is usually around the port, protecting it, is broken what is mean is that to the right of it its cracked and you can see the inside of the mac. I'm not sure if this is directly related to this crack around the port but the small metal pins on the charge port itself one of them keeps cracking and being burnt and I have to keep getting it fixed.

My question is: is the exposure to the port causing the metal pins to crack and burn? and how much would it cost to have the outer area of the port to be replaced?

Hope this is all makes sense, thanks.

Suggestion

You said that it's burning or so. So, you should not try to use it anymore. I believe that it is not necessary to repair time after time. It's better to buy a new one. But I'm am not sure about the cost and the availability of what you are looking for.
