Sorry if it's a n00b question, but I'm trying to decide between the 2.4Ghz 13.3" Macbook and the 2.26Ghz 13.3" MacBook Pro.

Am I right in saying that aprt from the obvious differences ( smaller hard drive on the Pro and faster CPU on the MacBook ), then only difference of note is the lack of a Firewire port on the MacBook ??

They'll both be unibody models, I assume ?

i'd go for the macbook, you wouldnt tell the difference in cpu speeds
and yes the macbook loses a firewire socket

In addition to the missing Firewire port ...

The white MB does not have the following (which the MBP does)

SD card slot
Physical battery level indicator
Backlit keyboard (actually, I'm not totally sure on this - and I'm too lazy to check)

Thanks for the replies.

As the price difference is minimal and I'd much prefer the Alu model, I'll go for the Pro.

Thanks again :)

Go Pro. Love the specs of the new unibody macbook but the pro will last you longer in the long run.
