hey guys, long time forum user and first time mac forum user here. I have a question regarding the macbook clicker. I've spent hours looking through forums and my problem seems unique to most peoples. My clicker isn't sticky but rather I need to press harder to get it to click properly. The clicker doesn't make a click sound when pressed. instead it is silent and unconfortable to use, it just doesn't have that "brand new" feel to it. ;)

How can I get my clicker working again

Cheers, Chris

check battery

A good idea is too take out the battery and check it for any bulging or deformations. If the battery is bulging it could be pressing against your trackpad, making it harder to click.

ill go with the a little more obvious anser and say WD40 and spray it around near the tracpad to see if there is any dirt and grime under it. but you should probably turn it off first...;)

Yeah...DON'T do this...

What makes you think spraying a water displacer/"lubricant" (It's 'technically' a lube, but was developed as a water displacer) into a computer is ever a good idea?
