Macbook Connectivity with old ACD

I know I've posted this before, but I never got an answer, and I'd really like to know. Will my old WhiteBook (2.16 ghz, 64 mg vram, 2 gb ram) run an old ACD. I'm thinking of either the 20" or 23" depending on their prices in the summer. Could my macbook run these screens at native res? Also, when/if I update to either the new Macbook or Mac Mini, would both also work on my (then) outdated ACD? Thanks!

When you say "old" do you mean the Apple acrylic displays with the ADC connectors?

Or do you mean the Aluminum displays that Apple still sells in 20, 23 (refurbed) and 30"?

I don't see why not. Check the specs on the displays you want.

Yes you need an adapter though.

You need a Mini DVI to DVI adapter for the old white Macbook and a Mini Display Port to DVI adapter for the aluminium Macbook.

Thats what Apple charges but those things are like $10 on ebay.
