just had my macbooks ( 1.83 core duo , late 2006 ) keyboard off and noticed that the airport card had 3 arial connections and wires , checked it up and it operates wireless n . has anyone else see one like this as i believed that core duos only got the two arial wireless b/g setup ??

yep , shows in network utility in the en1 section as - Wireless Network Adapter (802.11 a/b/g/n) , seeing this made me very happy:D

The Atheros card has 3 antennae connectors and the Broadcom card has 2 antennae connectors; the Atheros is usually found on the MB and 15" MBP, and the Broadcom on the 17" MBP.

i see , but i was under the impresion that the core duo macbooks should only have the 2 connector broadcom model - wireless b/g
