I had cracking in more than one Macbook in that area, and along the sides, around the vents, and along the back edges of the bottom case. I'd call Apple about it.

I had to send mine in for service three times, specifically, for this problem, and four other times for other issues. Ultimately, this case issue caused Apple to replace my Macbook with a brand new one, which I promptly sold.

yeah same is happening to me, I need to take it to apple but I can't ATM because I have work to do.....

i'm hoping my macbook won't crack anytime soon, but if anything did i'd go straight to apple about it, which is what i'd do in your shoes.

i kinda hope it will happen in a couple of years, that way they might replace it with a brand new one :)

I'd call Apple care. I've had mine since the end of November and it still looks brand spanking new.

The case is defective, just as the Magsafe is. Replacing it (whether in warranty or not) is the least they could do.
