NICE! Man some of these pictures make them look like a normal sized 13.3" Macbook via the angles. Which is not a bad thing at least for me. Im actually waiting for hopefully a 14" in V2! I played with one in Apple last Friday, it reminded me of the 11" Air footprint but WAY WAY more beautiful. Enjoy tho!!!!

Maybe by the end of the day we'll fill the entire front page of the /Macbook thread with "I just got mine" thread starts.

That's why I put 'Delivered'. People can post their pictures here.

It's way smaller than a 13.3 Macbook Air, haha. I'm coming from one and the size difference is significant. As for the keyboard, it feels so weird and so does the trackpad, but I think I'll get used to it by tonight.

No, you put "Gold Retina MacBook Delivered"...
I know everyone is excited to get theirs, but we don't need a new thread for every person that gets a new MacBook. Lots of people are getting them.

Would be really cool if the thread was called "Macbook Delivered: Thoughts and First Impressions Thread"

Yeah, it's smaller than the 11" macbook air even. All dimensions are about the same except it's about an inch shorter in width.

Good idea! I renamed it. :)

Basic Space Gray. Very nice so far. Came with 10.10.2. Did the upgrade. About 10 minutes. Keyboard is very nice. Feels good and backlighting is great. I am using a Logitech M557 bluetooth mouse, since I prefer a mouse to the trackpad.

Everything is okay so far. I found the screen a little dim. I went into Energy Saver and found that there was a box that said it was dimming the display on battery. When I unchecked it, the display brightened noticeably.

Keyboard is super. You can really type fast on it. Took me about 1 nanosecond to get used to it from my rMBP 15.

Base model is fast with no lag. After putting in 10.10.3 I think it is supposed to enhance the SSD transfer speeds with Express.

Also went into Displays and cranked up the brightness to where I like it. Screen can be as bright as you want.

Screen resolution is very very good. Retina rules.

When it is on your lap with your legs crossed and you have it propped up on one leg, when you type it rocks quite a bit but you get used to it. When you ease off on the typing pressure it is better.

I had only purchased the USB C to A adapter so when I was setting up the computer from my time machine backup, I had to make sure the battery was well charged. I charged it up for about 2 hours before I used my time machine backup. Everything worked well and I have what was on my rMBP 15.

I have 32 bookmarks open using Chrome as my browser. No lag.

The thought of reaching over to grab my rMBP 15 makes me appreciate how light this machine is.

OK, this is better like this. (the thread) :D

After seeing all your posts with your Twitter feed on the bottom, I finally visited your Twitter page. You're a very interesting person, by far the most diverse and entertaining feed I've seen in a while.

Don't forget you can adjust the trackpad pressure in the settings. I have the 2015 MBPR with the new trackpad. It comes default on medium, if you put it to firm you can really here the press, its far louder and closer to the old doing board style. Light is too light. Took me a few hours. Now I'm used to the new trackpad. Granted i did not try any of the new tricks yet :)

The thing boggles my mind. I press it and damn it if it's not really clicking, hahah.... I had to convince myself it's not, and turned it off, and pressed, and the track pad doesn't move. Funny how something so simple can be such a huge benefit in an Apple product. When people say "Why are Apple products worth the money?" tell them about this feature\innovation, it's another item on the list for sure!

Mine doesn't click when off but the glass moves down a bit.

I spent at least 30 mins when i got my 2015 MBPR putting it close to my face assuring myself it wasn't clicking :D. Had even more fun when you can adjust the pressure.

I showed my wife, she was sort of lost lmao. She said it prob locks when you shut it down, i said no and showed her the picture how the mechanicsim works lol. Dat Apple Magic :apple:

Haha, I'm glad it's interesting and not annoying - but thanks! Did you just follow me, or was that someone else?

It shouldn't move at all. Hmmm

When pressing near the edge, if you look at the glass surface, you can see it dip lower in reference to the aluminum edge. It isn't a pronounced as the dip on my 11" MBA though. Enough to feel and with the vibration replacing the physical click, it's very realistic for me. I imagine it dips for everyone and that's to help make it feel like a physical click.

I didn't follow. I only use Twitter to follow news sources, not for it's actual intended purposes. LOL. I'm guessing my comments inspired someone else here to stalk... err follow you. ;-)

Ha, well I only ask because someone followed me at the same time. I often don't follow back, so figured I'd check. But I use Twitter for news - one of the quickest and most honest sources (if you're careful), in my opinion.
