Hi all,

I'm so close to ordering my Macbook Aluminum 2.4Ghz and I just have a few queries before I place my order.

1/ If I chose the standard configuration, it says it will be shipped within 24hours. If I order it tomorrow (Sunday), does anyone know when it would arrive in the UK?

2/ I don't really understand this printer rebate deal, could anyone explain this to me?

Thanks in advanced,
Dominic.

Rebates work on the sole thought that some customers either forget or don't want the hassle of sending in the rebate itself. Essentially, Apple will add on another $100 to the configuration, and you get a $100 printer. You then print out the rebate they send you, fill it out, and mail it. Within no given time frame they will send you $100 back. It's basically a free printer if you can live without the $100 for awhile.

Go with the printer - you are getting a free printer.

If I am not mistaken, you have to spent £60 on the printer initially and then when you fill in the online forms (through the Apple website) you get your £60 back via cheque or bank transfer. Its really easy.

Apple give you £60 off any printer, but at the time when I bought my Macbook - they had an HP printer priced at £59.99... so I just bought it and then claimed the £60 back. It then got flung on eBay :D

Quick update

Hi all,

I added the HP Photosmart C4580 which should cost £99.95

It says- With rebate: £39.95

When I add it to my basket it comes up as £86.91

Is this correct? I thought it would be £39.95?

Thanks in advanced.

£86.91 + 15% VAT = £99.95.

It'll be £39.95 when you get your £60 rebate back.

Got'cha.

Please excuse my ignorance!

EDIT: Also, does anyone know how long a Macbook takes to get to a UK address?
