Macbook Desktop Problem :( please help

Hi i just go my macbook from the apple store but everytime i move something from my folders to my desktop instead of being move its gets copied )lease help also i dont have the macintosh HD icon on my desktop how do i put it?

sounds like your really green with OSX. There's a setting in Finder Preferences to show or hide your Mac HD.

For your HD, tick the box that says "Hard disks" under Finder -> Preferences

Are you using an external disk?

No im not ): im using the HDD form the laptop but if i move like mmm... my itunes folder from my music folder instead of moving it will copy the whole folder onto my desktop ):
