Macbook disc drive won't respond?

i managed to get the disc out and left it to rest for 1 night, then today i tried putting another dvd in but the disc drive wont respond, when i put the disc in ( normally when you put the disc in, it will pull the disc in automaticcly) but my disc drive doesnt seem to rspond no matter how far i put the disc into the disc drive?

im using the new macbook 10.6.5, also on Disc Utility i cant find a disc drive, is there supposed to be one?

Go to: Apple menu>About this Mac>More Info>Disc Burning and post what is there.

!@#* now im freaked out
it says No disc burning device was found. If the device is external, make sure it’s connected and turned on.

SuperDrive needs to be replaced. Bring it into an Apple Store.

ok i just reset SMC, it accepted the disc, but it doesnt show the disc on my desktop and now back to the first problem
