So I have an ISO file that I need to burn onto a dvd, and i bought some double-layer DVD+R's at the shop... And apparently it doesnt work. I mount the image, and then click on Burn.

A pop-up appears for like 2 seconds saying: Finishing Burn. The CD comes out, blank as ever...

How can i fix this??

EDIT: I tried putting a second one, and this time it said: Preparing data for burn. This was for about a minute, then it just said: Medium Burn error

Your MacBook does have a SuperDrive, right? (As opposed to a combo drive, which can only burn CDs)

I've had the same problem for quite some time now with my Superdrive. I can burn CDs, but not DVDs (on 4 different kinds of media). The lasers are different, and for some the problem was solved simply by cleaning that laser (do a google search for a how-to). Others have reported that going into System Preferences/International and changing the language, closing out, then re-opening the system preferences and changing back to English (the one at the top) has resolved the problem. Neither worked for me, so I'm just biding my time before I swap out the optical drive. Good luck!
