Macbook Display Problems

I have no idea how to explain what is going on with the display on my Mac. Best way to describe it as the color scheme has gone all out of wack, and to post a screenshot, which I have attached. Notice that in word the page should be white but shows up as a tea color.

Above I have pasted my display specs, and have updated within the past hour.

Also note that about a week ago the display stopped working all together then and whenever I turned on the laptop I could hear everything, however the display was black. Then one day I turned it on and this was how it looked.

If anyone knows what wrong, and possibly a fix (without having to go to apple or reinstall the operating system) that would be awesome. If you need anymore info just let me know.

Have you looked at that screenshot via a different computer? I don't see what your talking about. But...that would make sense as your computer's screenshot might not be affected by screen problems or display settings.
