Yesterday, my Macbook was having several crashes. So I decide to reset the PMU and the PRAM. Everything goes smooth as glass. Then the next time I turn it on, I get these weird rainbow vertical lines, but no apple. I find that if I reset the PRAM again, the computer starts up again. I would really not want to have to do all of this just to use my computer, so is there a way around this?

I'd take it right to the Apple Store, show them, and they'll take care of it. It's still under AppleCare, so there's no reason to deal with a problem like that this early. I'd just take it in, and let the Apple guys deal with it.
