Macbook doesnt wanna sleep...

I saw some other older threads on this but no solutions have been found (i think anyway). The problem is my Macbook wont fall asleep when I close it, and when it is asleep (by doing it via the menu) picking it up generally makes it wake up and go back to sleep a few times before finally just staying awake even with the lid closed I don't know what to do! Is there a setting somewhere to tell it to go to sleep when the lid is closed?

I really dont wanna have to take this thing in....for the 5th time

Is anything plugged in? Maybe try resetting the PMU although I think this might actually be a job for Apple, sorry.

i have this exact same problem... i just went to the terminal and entered some code that turns off the feature to have it wake when the lid is opened. not the perfect solution but it kinda fixes it b/c i dont want to send it in...
