A year ago, I modify my 2011 bacbook pro 13 with a SSD OCZ agility 120Gb

It works great... for a year.

It just stop working and during recovery Disk Utility don't see it.

I asume that was the disk and I get a new one. A Kingston HYPERX 120Gb.
After installation, running Disk Utility again, SSD was detected, but it need format in order to install OSX.

After format, I get error during the start of the installation process. Rebbot the machine and Disk Utility doesn't regognize any more the SSD.

Any ideas?

Tks for your help!

Do you have an external USB enclosure you can put these SSDs in to test them? It sounds like maybe the cable going to the drive is bad. This is not common, but it does happen.

Oops! I'd like to delete my post, but don't see any option.

After reading the thread, the OP did have the SSD working before. So all my previous comments are irrelevant.

Is the SSD a primary or secondary drive? On the OWC site, it says on the MBP 2011, you can't use a 6G SSD as a secondary drive, such as in the optical drive bay.

Just a thought. Not sure if it applies to your situation?
