Just a quick question, how durable are the aluminum macbooks?

I am gonna start riding a bike to work as the weather gets better and wondered if having it jumping around in my backpack when I go over bumps or off curbs is going to do any damage to my new macbook?

I'd suggest some kind of sleeve to absorb some of the bumps, and to help protect it from rubbing against other things in your bag. If your route is fairly rough, you may also consider fully powering down the unit before travelling, instead of just putting the computer to sleep.

Otherwise, you'll be fine.

Cool, thanks, have a sleeve but didn't think of powering it down. Will do that. My route is pretty smooth but I suppose it can't hurt to take extra precautions.
