macbook dvd burner

Hi. my brother has a mid 2007 2.0 white macbook and the combo drive went kaput. I, as his tech support, am unavaible to fix, as i don't live near enough to him any more. I want to get him an external usb dvd reader/burner. Suggestions on affordable models? i found a good deal on the mba superdrive. is that compatible? apple's website says only mba and mac mini, but i assume it will work. it's a usb dvd drive. Any help would be appreciated

HP drives come with lightscribe so you can burn labels onto dvds/cds.
