Every time I wake my macbook from sleep the dvd drive powers itself and the normal starting sound is heard (I figured that it's from the drive syncing itself).
For a while now I've had this problem that the drive keeps syncing itself 2-4 times in a row. The problem is that most of the time the computer won't react to anything (touchpad or keyboard) for about 20 seconds before the drive has synced. Sometimes this might also happen after I've used the computer for a while, everything pauses for a while so that the drive syncs once again.
I have no problems with reading or burning discs, though.
