macbook DVD player

Hello! I am new to Mac and have a new macbook osX, how do I play a DVD and set it to autoplay over and over in a loop? PLEASE HELP need to set this up TOMORROW at a wedding display table!!!! THANKS!!!!

By default the DVD Player app is set up to automatically start playing a DVD as soon as you insert it.

I don't know about looping since I never tried it. I know you can loop DVDs in VLC though.

OK, well, I cannot download anything because it cannot connect to internet, so exactly how to I get to vlc and what do I do? Is there a script I can plug in to make this thing loop? Or are there settings I don't have switched on?
