MacBook EFI Firmware Help

My sister recently downloaded the automatic firmware up date through Apples software update. I guess she did not read the install overview, because when she got back to her computer and turned it on it stated doing the update - showing the progress bar under the Apple.

She didn't know what was going on and hard shutdown here computer. Now her computer will not boot up.

Any suggestions before I make the trip up to help her.

what why did she do that lol you should never interrupt an install of anything. but owell whats done is done

i think though you can boot off the install discs somewhow but i forget how

Apple has posted a Firmware Restoration dmg that will fix that problem. The file must be downloaded on a WORKING Mac and then burned to CD which can then be used to fix the problem.

the MacBook is quickly becoming the new mac user computer... just as the iBook was.
