Very possible.
Do you think there will be a black version and a silver version?

That would be super cool, but I kinda doubt it for some reason. Like, too good to be true?

I have approval to buy the current Blackbook, but am holding off til this happens.

I just want to point that the first batch is often airlifted to the stores to minimize possible pre-sniffing. So it could just as well be arriving tomorrow.

I think that it won't have ATI graphics card because that what separates it from the pro, its video card

It could be an low-end ATI video card, almost like an Intel Integrated video card. The MacBook Pro should get better video cards as well, so the dedicated video card should not make much of a difference in the choice between the MacBook and MacBook Pro when buying.

October 14th or September 23rd?

Which date do you really think it is?

I think its September 30th. The iPod deal just ended yesterday. Give it fourteen days so no one can return their recently purchased MacBooks and that leaves us on September 29th, a Monday. The next day is September 30. Makes sense. If its any day in the next month, it will probably be the 30th...

Don't they have to pay a restocking fee and return their iPod as well?

yup %10 and yup.

And also, if it's BTO or if your iPod is engraved, you can't return it.

Edit: only %10 restocking fee if you open it... but who doesn't open a new mac?

Yeah. This is true.

But if the MBs are supposedly shipping now, then woudn't they be released like within the week??

Ok, then I don't think Apple worries too much about possible mass returns. Apple can release the new MacBooks any week now.

Would they really want to take attention away from the new iPods so soon?

Or would they rather want people who are giving attention to the new iPod and iPhone to suddenly become aware of new and improved laptops, thus improving their chances of switching/upgrading?
