Hi

Got a question, hopefully someone would be able to clarify this.

I use an external Dell monitor with my macbook unibody and have the lid of the macbook shut most of the times and use the Dell as the main screen.

I want to use both screens, with the Dell being the main screen i.e. where the dock is. I can't get this to happen. As soon as I open the macbook lid up, the macbook becomes the 'main' screen and the dell becomes a secondary screen.

Is there any way I could get the Dell monitor to becoming the main screen and have the macbook as a secondary?

Cheers

Open the lid of the macbook. On whichever screen, go to system prefrences, to the displays pane and to {Detect Displays}. Both screens will activate. Now Under the arrange tab, you will have to explain to the system were the monitors are in relation to each other. That's it. I've had this setup for years, and I love it!

Ahhh cheers

I remember doing this before but didnt get anywhere. i just noticed that there was a tiny little bar that i had to drag - i was dragging the entire screen.

Cheers ;)
