Hi,
I own a macbook 5.1. (Alu unibody) und acquired recently an external monitor for it. The external monitor it's a 24 inch led backlit Samsung BX 2431 is connected from the mini displayport to the HDMI input of the monitor.
I run the Macbook in clamshell mode, bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth mouse attached to it. Everything runs nicely, only the wireless connection is now very poor.
See the system profiler:
PHY-Modus: 802.11n
BSSID: 0:24:1:38:c0:2
Kanal: 13
Netzwerktyp: Infrastruktur
Sicherheit: Persönlicher WPA2
Signal / Störungen: -78 dBm / -88 dBm
Senderate: 7
MCS-Index: 0
(sorry for the German, I hope the numbers speak for themselves)
I have operated my macbook for months on the same place, using the same router (D-Link DIR 855) and system set up. The wireless connection worked flawlessly.
I opened the Macbook, this didn't improve anything.
I googled it, and came out with others having the same problem, albeit no solution.
I switched the channel on my router, which improved the situation from "full disaster" to "hardly bearable".
So my question: What can I do? Any Ideas
Other than buying a Mac Mini, I mean. Or getting a lan connection, which is no option...
