Starting up in safe mode is not an option; it doesn't work.
The screen just acts like it's loading.. for hours on end.
Resetting the PRAM doesn't help either.
I can get somewhere with my leopard install disc, but the disk utitlities say that my hard drive is fine when I try to repair it.
I was going to just install leopard again, but it needs 11.4 GB to install; my macbook has only 10 GB available.
Target disk mode won't work since I don't have a firewire cable..
Verbose mode helped out the most, I suppose.
It showed where my computer was stalling..
It says "disk0s2: I/O error." over and over and over again.
Every now and then it throws in the date and time and says "localhost kernel [0]:"
Can anyone help me with this?
It'd be nice to find out if there's another way to get past this or to find out what the error means..
Thanks for your time and help, I appreciate it so much!
