Macbook Fan RPM

Hi Guys,

My Macbook 2008 Alu has recently started to spin the fan at 3600rpm (using istat nano widget) even when no programs running.

I've checked activity monitor and nothing is using any kind of obvious load on the CPU.

Then today its started to spin at 3800 rpm. Obviously not a major problem but dont want it to get worse. Any ideas....

Did you select "All Processes" in the activity monitor?

Yeah all processes selected.
