I was at a recording studio, and my mac fell to the ground maybe 5 feet. I buffered the fall but somehow I couldn't catch it. There's a dent. The LCD doesn't sit flush on the Mac anymore. What should I do, does anyone think internal damage could have been caused?

Get a suction cup and suction it to the dent and pull up. Maybe pour really hot water on the area at an angle to soften it up first. Suction cup dent kits are cheap o amazon.

On my rMBP the display never sat flush to the body when closed. On your picture it looks like it is totally marginal.

Was this fall of your MacBook something you caused, or did you trip on the cable ? Thats why I like Magsafe - it comes out of the machine and won't fall.

No one here would even have a clue if there’s any damage inside. You have to open it up and I wpull give that job to Apple.

my 2010 macbook air fell and luckily there was now damage except the keyboard ribbon slid a bit and i could not type q-p. these MacBooks are very tough and durable notebooks. i finally repaired the keyboard by finally reinserting the ribbon cable after a year of trying.

as far as your friends at apple fixing that, they will only if under warrantee or deemed fit for their time, as in 2019 or later running big sur, or dont waste their time!
