I'm thinking of buying a used Macbook for $500. Its a white macbook 13.3 inch 2.0 GHz 1GB ram 80GB hard drive. the person bought it in 2007. havent seen it but for $500, i think its pretty decent. my budget is $700 soo i can save $200. and probably use the extra $200 to upgrade the ram to 4GB and upgrade the hard drive to maybe 250GB if i can find a good deal. do you think its worth it? remember, my budget is $700.

Personally, I'd get something that's still covered by warranty. If AppleCare wasn't added for this Macbook, it'll be too late to add it. You're taking a bit of a risk that it may break down someday, and the repair will go far beyond the budget. So, if you can wait and afford it, buy one with warranty and feel safe!
