Macbook for beginners

So guys ive decided out the frustration ive had with Pcs and my girlfriend rubbing it in my face that her Mac works fine and my pc breaks after a month ive decided to invest, so im going to be using it for Music, recording and listening like guitar pro and so on. wont be doing the gaming on it as i have a console for that.

so any advice on which one to go forward with memory will be key.

yeah sorry Hard drive space, the Ram i could easily get away with 4MB although upgrading it to 8MB wouldnt be a major loss.

my Budget is £1500 pounds, dont know what the US apple store value is but it tends to be quite evenly split. So just give me a model number and so on and i can run from there.
