Hi you guys.
My Macbook running on OS X 10.5 that I got June 2007 keeps freezing on me at the startup screen. It would turn on and freeze at the gray screen. There's no Apple logo or spinning wheel, just a blank gray screen. This happened after it froze while using Firefox where only the mouse would move, but nothing else responded. Also, when it's stuck at the gray screen, the computer would keep on beeping for some reason. After about 5 minutes, a picture of a folder with a question mark would blink on the screen.
I have tried booting into safe mode, using my install disc, and zapping my PRAM, but none worked. The computer would not even respond to booting into safe mode or booting with the install disc by holding down the appropriate keys. Do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
