Where ever my life takes me...
Hey all,

I'm looking into purchasing a Mac from craigslist. I know many people have asked this question before, but I don't know where else to turn for advice. What should I look/watch out for? Thanks!

This question has been asked for more than one time. A search would be the fastest way to get some answers.

Depends if you're buying one that is brand spanking new or used. Either way you should have a sit down with the seller at Starbucks or somewhere public and turn on the machine and inspect it real good.

definitely use search.

but i would go ahead. turn it on. check system profiler and go down the list.

install geekbench to see where it stands, and iStat/Coconut to check battery - use Rember if you are really OCD.

look for scratches on the body+screen - CHECK EVERY KEYBOARD KEY, check the i/o's, iSight, Airport, Bluetooth etc.

if they are willing to let you do that, then you won't have a problem.
