Hey, I am to new to the Mac and I wanted to play Halo with my friend via LAN. We have a long ride to school on a transportation bus and wanted to play on the bus, so there is no outlet available. Is there any way to do this portably. Thank ye.

Yep you can do it as long as you two can establish a network together. You can probably do it wirelessly (one of you create's a wireless network and the other one joints) or via hardwire (you'll probably need a crossover cable).

yup. but you wont even need a cable. if you make a computer to computer network, by clicking the airport icon in the menu bar and going to create network, you can make that network and have your friend join it. then halo should work fine!

Thanks

I have done that, thanks to your help u 2. I am connected to the network i made but I have a self-assigned i.p address. That shouldn't matter anyways right. Thanks for your help.
