Hi guys,

I have read the Macbook Ram guide but still need to know 3 more things....

I am considering putting 2 sticks of the below into a CD2 white macbook to give 4GB:

http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(19684)2GB-Geil-Mac-Series-PC25300-667MHz-DDR2-SO.aspx

1. Is Geil Ram going to work in the macbook? Anyone have any experience of using this in a macbook?

2. Can I put 2 sticks of this in for dual channel or do I need "matched pairs"?

3. I plan to use the Macbook for web browsing, ripping DVDs/music, storing photos/music and some light gaming. Is 2gb adequate for this i.e. a sweet spot or will I get noticeable gains from 4gb in there?

Thanks. Any answers are really appreciated as ordering the system tomorrow.

That RAM will work just fine. 2GB is probably sufficient, but RAM is so cheap now I went with 4GB... you do not need 'matched' pairs, just buy 2 sticks of the same size, spec model and mfgr and you will be fine.
