Macbook (GMA 950) and the X-Plane 8.50

Here's my story....I was an SR waiter who is some upset at the lack of SR and the missing x3100 today. I NEED a laptop within the next couple weeks, and that laptop NEEDS to run X-plane 8.50 ish (for work reasons). A MBP is out of my budget.

I cannot overstate my disappointment with the decision to stick with the GMA 950, and I am actively looking at alternatives (thinking generic PC laptop running Kubuntu). Having said that, does anyone here run X-plane on the GMA 950 and if so, how well does it run?
