hey everyone, is this macbook a good deal?

2.2ghz
1gig ram
160 HD
Leopard

brand new for 1100

good price?

It's not a terrific saving (same price as new 2.1GHz MB but with bigger hard drive.) If you could live with 'old' (6 month) technology then I suppose it's OK.

That price is not bad, but I think you can do better. For example, here is a refurb [White] MacBook for $999. It has a smaller HDD though... :)

what is your opinion on refurbished macbooks? will they fail or have a greater chance of failing in the long run? How is the condition if I bought one, any scratches or fading of the color on the keys etc vs buying a new or used one. thanks

good find yeah not bad. It comes out pretty close in price though after taxes. Roughly 70-80 dollars for tax so 1080 at most. 20 bucks for 40gigs more and brand new is worth it. Also how do I go about to register the computer since I am buying from another guy. Do I only need the serial code to register for the 1 yr warranty via Apple?
