Macbook good deal?

My school has the MB Black-2.16, 2GB RAM, 160 GB HDD for $1049.
Should i pick this up, as in is it a deal to grab on to right away?

I went to the bookstore in the school.
Here is the flyer they gave me

Macbook 13" White
2.16 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo
2 GB Ram
120 GB HDD
8X Double Layer Super Drive-$949

Now the Macbook Pro is $1724. which one should i get.

I'm not a fan of the 13 inch screen and love the 15 inch screen. But the keyboard and trackpad on the MB are much better. Plus the MB looks kinda cheap especially the white one because of the plastic build.

But the difference is a lot. Heck i can use the money for a PC-LOL.

I am looking to use it for Typing Essays, surfing, chatting, using Garage Sale. Thats about it.

So what do you guys recommend.

Find out what deal your school is giving on the low-end Macbook. Even the black MB is overkill for your needs.

I gotta say, that is an AMAZING deal! That's close to what I have and I paid $200 more...that is one very good deal and it comes with a super drive! I'll take a few and sell them on eBay!
