I have a black MacBook from 2006 or 2007 that started acting up tonight. It froze up, and after a hard reset it simply booted to a gray screen showing a dark gray folder with a question mark inside. I managed to get it to boot off my external drive with Snow Leopard. The MacBook's internal hard drive does not appear in System Profiler. Is there any way to get it working again?
