macbook hard drive running so slow

For last couple of days know my macbook's hard drive has been running slow I have not installed, unistalled or modified anything what is going on?

yup bad Hard Drive, while your at it throw in a SSD, well worth it. Make the computer like a brand new one.

I agree that you need a hard drive, but I'm not completely sold on SSD yet. They're very expensive given the storage capacity and there are still quality issues.

Once they're closer to $1 per gigabyte, I'll be interested.
The $300 i spent for a 8x10x12 CD burner is a constant reminder to me that things always get cheaper.

But if the SSD will meet your needs and is in your budget, then it's a great option.

Whatever you decide, make sure you make regular backups!!!
