My hard drive went out on my macbook (late 07 model black). So while replacing my hard drive i am looking to upgrade too. but i don't know what hard drive to put in it. i was looking at many different ones but i heard that it can not be bigger than 9.5mm and that knocks out the hard drive that i was looking at.

i really would like something like it. does anyone have and suggestions?

my bad i was going by the amazon dimensions
What on earth are you talking about? What exactly are the "amazon dimensions" and why do you think they're wrong? That is a 2.5" drive with 9mm height and everything on the Amazon link you provided is correct.

You can actually get up to a 500 GB drive that runs at 7200 RPM ($105 on Newegg) or a 640 GB that runs at 5400 RPM ($120 on Newegg). Both are cheaper than the 320 GB you’re looking at on Amazon.

A larger drive at the same speed is actually probably going to be faster, because the data is stored more densely on the platters.
