:confused:I have this Macbook and I had not touched it in awhile. Maybe 2 months later i pulled it out and it seemed like the operating system was erased or something. So I got the installation disks and I also got Leopard at first it could read the disk and now it wont even start up with the disks. Please help.

Make an appointment and bring it into the store. Do you have a Apple store near you? I have never heard of an OS just disappearing off a system without anyone touching it, unless you stored it next to a strong magnet.

Yours may have been one of the models affected by the faulty (and recalled) 80GB hard drives. Call AppleCare about this.

If it won't even boot up from the disks than its probably something more serious than the hard disk going.

If you can try booting the 'hardware check' disk that came with it.
Regardless of the result of this check, I recommend taking back to apple.

Hopefully you have had it for less than a year and it is still covered under warranty. (especially if you have applecare, give them a call, they might come and pick it up from you.)
