Hi Guys,

Got a problem i think.. whenever i move my 13" Macbook i get a knocking / scratching noise... apple says its the hard drive stopping so the disk doesn't get damaged whilst in transit.. is this correct?

Please help..!!

Yup completely normal. The HD "parks" its self to avoid damage while being moved.

A clicking sound is normal, but knocking and scratching isn't. Without a recording it's hard to tell.

If your concerned, download Onyx and test the HD.
