I recently started trimming my 3,000 song iTunes library down to a few playlists to save some space on my iPhone and iPod. To do this I was flipping through coverflow and just dragging entire albums into the certain playlists. This worked fine for a while until I came across a few albums that i had problems with.

At first i flipped to a new album, and halfway through the animation the computer froze up and gave me the spinning rainbow cursor. I figured it just froze randomly, and after 10 minutes of waiting i decided to restart my computer and continue making my playlists.

I went back to the spot where the computer froze last and flipped to the same album and the computer did the same thing. It froze and gave me the little rainbow cursor. I restarted again and went back to that group of 2-3 albums, and the same thing happened. I've tried again over 5 times and the problem area is always those 2-3 albums that make it freeze.

Could those albums somehow be corrupt and the computer can't locate the files? Is it a hard drive problem?, or something pertaining to iTunes? I've done everything i can think of and can't figure it out.

I'm running the latest version of iTunes btw...
