Ok a little help please.

I own a 13inch, Early 2011 with OSx Yosemite 10.10.5

My computer is running little slow. What kind of maintenance do you do on your computer? I do download some movies and music on my computer and just pretty much use it for internet. and should i continue to upgrade OS?

I would do a verify disk & fix disk permissions from disk utilities. You may have to reboot your computer while holding down cmd+R to do those two things completely. May not hurt to do a reinstallation of OS X; however, I would wait until El-Capitan comes out since its only a few weeks away.

Another option is to replace your hard drive and put in a SSD.

Make sure you have the right tools.
