Hey guys,
I have a month old MacBook Pro. The hinge has been getting loose and its now to the point where if I put the screen at a 90 degree angle and rotate the computer so the screen is facing the ground, it slams shut on its own. I know this is not how it's supposed to be, and it's very annoyng because it limits how I can hold the computer.
I took it to the apple store and they said the needed to send it out for "Depot repair," which I'm assuming is their service center, to replace the hinge. However, they said it could possibly take a while and I am going out of state shortly and don't have time to wait for it. So, is it possible to fix this myself? It seems like you should just be able to tighten something, no?
Thanks!
Dan
