Ever since I got my replacement MB C2D, I've noticed that the hinge is very squeaky. It makes noises every time I adjust the screen or pick it up. My old MB used to do this a little bit, but this is driving me nuts. Any suggestions on a quick fix?

well since i completely broke my last one, I think I'll just take it to the apple store and let them do it :p thanks Scarlet Fever

My neck makes a squeaky noise sometimes!:(

Anyway I use WD40 on anything else that squeaks - usually sorts it!:)

Step 1 - Get 4 pounds of butter.

Step 2 - Empty butter in a container that will comfotably fit your macbook.

Step 3 - Melt the butter in the container.

Step 4 - Unplug your macbook, power it down and remove your battery.

Step 5 - Soak your macbook in the warm butter for 1 hour.

Step 6 - Skip step 1-5 and go to this address;)

The reason nothing works is that it's not the hinge squeaking. It's the plastic hinge cover that is rubbing against the main unit because it was assembled improperly by a tiny bit.

Yeah, im suffering from the same problem... i just pushed the screen a little to the left, and now the squeakage has decreased... its realllly annoying sometimes
