Don't quite know what to make of that. Especially since it crosses over the Dashboard. Have you reset PRAM and the usual resets to the computer? The other one is to shutdown, disconnect power and pull the battery and hold the power switch for a count of 5 (Cannot Remembe off the top of my head). You also might want to run the Hardware Diags off The #1 Install Disk and see if it could provide some clues.

i don't see any weird lines, maybe my eyesight is bad? you should have a solid color background, maybe they'll show up better then?

What happened when you brought it to Apple?

I just had my monitor replaced on my Macbook Pro and I may be experiencing the same subtle horizontal lines you're referring to. They weren't on my last screen...and I though it was just me.

I dont see any lines on the screenshot.

I think the threadstarter sees them on the screenshot too, because he or she is looking at it through the defective monitor or graphics card. We dont see them because the screenshot does not contain them.

Can you take the pic with a cam?
