Macbook/iBooks Processors

What were the macbooks/ibooks(w/e they were called 4 years ago) processor speed 3-4 years ago? like today we have 2.0GHz and 2.4, what about 3-4 years ago?

The first MacBooks (early 2006) were 1.83GHz. They were Core Duo based which are about 25% slower at the same clock speed as the newer Core 2 Duo's in the latest MacBooks. The iBooks were 1.4GHz PowerPC processors. Maybe less than half the speed of the first MacBooks.
