Before I explain the current problem, let me give some background:
So, I went to the Apple Store last Saturday (21st) and was wondering if i could have my battery replaced. They said no, unsurprisingly, but they saw cracks on the palmrest of my computer and offered to fix it. I said sure, and came back three hours later. I got it back and used it and it was fine. The next day, it wouldn't boot. I went to the store again, and they said the logic board died. And that it could have been their fault, so they would replace it. So they did, and it took a full 5 business days (Sunday-Friday). I turned it on in store and it was fine. I got home and it would not connect to my network, neither AirPort nor Ethernet. All my other devices (iPhone, PC, AirPort Express) connect fine, but the MacBook won't. I tried fixing every setting known to man, and I even bypassed the router completely, and went directly to the cable modem, which still didn't work. I made sure to change the MAC filter to accommodate for my new ethernet MAC address, but it wouldn't work on either (AirPort/Ethernet). I went to the Apple Store, and of course it connected fine, and worked. I had them look at the online configuration utility for the network to make sure I didn't miss anything, and they couldn't find anything. I'm confused as to what is wrong, neither AirPort nor Ethernet work, and it can't be the router, because I've bypassed it and it didn't make a difference. My guess is that it's a software issue, but I don't know what type. I was referred to AppleCare from the Genius Bar. So I'll call them tomorrow, and if they can't fix it (when they can't fix it), I'll go back to the Apple Store (for the seventh time since Feb. 21st) and demand it to be fixed, or a replacement. Let's just hope they don't break something else when they go to fix this
.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me!
