Macbook internet speed

Hey guys just a quick question. I've noticed just recently my internet speed has been slow. Like with downloading updates and other crap. I did a speed test with speakeasy and here are my results.

Download Speed: 5590 kbps (698.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 5217 kbps (652.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

Now this is for wireless. Does this seem normal or abnormal??? Thanks so much.

download speed depends for a great deal on your internet connection, and mine is different from yours. Try it with an ethernet cable and see if there is a difference.

But these speeds look very reasonable, a lot of people don't go that fast.

Alrighty good to know. Haha for some reason I have never been able to set up my ethernet connection right so I never bothered with it and always used wireless in my place.
